I wanted an accurate, reliable meter to test my residential water supply. But I only needed to use it a couple of times a year so I didn’t want to spend a fortune. I chose this one. I’ve it for about 2 years and it has worked as advertised.

I use this unit a few times a year. It gives me repeatable readings with no fuss or bother. I have to calibrate it each time before use, but that doesn’t really bother me because I use it so infrequently. Just be aware that if you want accuracy you will also need a ph standard liquid for calibration purposes.

I bought the Milwaukee PH-600 over 4 years ago to test the PH of my aquarium. It worked great (used it for about a year). I then got married and got rid of my aquarium and now after 4 years I found this meter in one of my old boxes.. it had been tossed around. I am setting up a new tank so I wanted to check and see if this thing still works so i bought 2 reference solutions (PH 4.0 and 7.0) and BOTH tests had DEAD-ON Accuracy!! NOT EVEN a tenth of a point off!! I have NEVER even calibrated it and its still running on the same batteries from 4 years ago! You have to leave it in the solution for 1 minute so the numbers stabilize. I almost bought a new PH meter but now after testing this I think I’ll stick with it for a while. I dont know what the others are complaining about but if you use this properly it works great.

Looses calibration all the time. I ended up buying a more expensive model that holds calibration.
