Making sure you get the best discount patio furniture
Whenever you are looking for a good deal on any major purchase, you have to remember to keep a few things in mind, and this includes purchasing garden furniture out of season. These recommendations are standard, and we’ve mentioned them in many a Lazy Susan blog post, but they get overlooked so frequently, that they bear repeating.
Always put quality firstMany times we will get distracted by a low sale price that we lose sight of the fact that it is vital that the furniture should last us for the next decade or more. There’s no sense in buying cheap patio furniture that will break or rust within a year or two. This is not only a waste of your money, but it is a bad for the environment. So be sure you invest in quality garden furniture that has been constructed to withstand the elements.
Look at the total costLots of places online claim to have great deals, but when you get to the shopping cart, you find out that you are being charged for shipping from outs side the UK or some other service that was not clear on the main product page. Likewise, a local DIY store might have a seemingly good garden furniture clearance sale, but you then it won’t fit in your car and they want a delivery fee of £50 or more.
So when is the best time of year to purchase garden furniture?
The two best times to look for clearance sales are during the ‘off-season’ of Autumn to Winter and here in the UK that means in the months of October to March. Interestingly enough, the months in between don’t necessarily offer great bargains. October is always good because with the end of the summer season sales many DIY and Home outlets etc are trying to get one last rush of sales before the winter sets in. January and February generally tend to have the best sales of the year as manufacturers get ready to unveil their new lines for the upcoming Spring/Summer season and hence they slash prices dramatically to clear out their warehouse space and make way for the new.
