Depending how long it’s been since you last went shopping for bedding, you may be surprised by the options now available. Not just in terms of materials used and the mattresses covered, but the very styles being put out there too.
Modern bedding is a good example of this, though it inhabits two important areas. In one way, modern bedding is an extension of modern art. It stresses a streamlined look and minimalist design. You’ll see comforters made from quality materials, but minus all the bells and whistles. The same can be said for the matching pillow cases and sheets.
However, in another sense, modern bedding can be said to inhabit the way we buy bedding these days. For example, many people decide to mix and match. They may even buy more than one comforter, so they can give their bed different looks as they please.
One very popular option is called bedding in a bag. You basically buy all your bedding at once—ensuring it all matches in material and style—but pay far less for the entire thing than you otherwise would.
