4 Spring flowers for your garden

homegardenadvicesSpring is a sure sign that is warmer weather to come. To make the most of the warmer weather and brighten up your garden, here are 4 spring flowers that are worth your gardening time.

Pansy – Pansy flourishes in cool weather and it is created for containers and window boxes. Before planting your pansy, make sure you have well draining, moist soil and space for the plant to grow upwards (10 inches) and wide (12 inches).

Yellow Trillium – This plant grows best in spring and has marbled leaves with delicate yellow and white blooms. The flowers will die at the end of the season and the foliage will recede at the end of June. Make sure you plant it with other plants as it loves shade. This plant will need well draining moist soil and need a space of 16 inches in height and 12 inches in width.

Hellebore – This plant is also known as Lenten rose or Christmas rose. They flower in Spring and are resilient yet delicate. These plants will also flourish in warmer weathers and can handle light frost, which is ideal for spring weather. Hellebore will need shade and moist, well-drained soil with a space of 12 inches in height and 18 inches in width.

Bloodroot – This plant will flower in March and bloom white flowers that will last till late Spring. They are a good plant for a shaded or woodland garden. This plant will require shade and moist, well-drained soil with a space of 6 inches high and 12 inches width.
