Living in the city has its merits. You are literally close to everything, and if you’re up for it, you can actually walk or bike everywhere you go. But if you have that urge to reconnect to nature, you might find that the city has its own hidden gems that you might want to discover for yourself. Gardening and living in the city is not actually a farfetched idea. Although you may not have your own lawn to tend to, you will find that there are actually quite a number of gardens dotted around the city and in your own neighborhood as well. With that said, you could still scratch that gardening itch and give that old green thumb of yours another go at gardening. Whether it’s on the rooftop of your building or a block away from your apartment, you can still engage in gardening that is public and free to share with the community. Just remember though that the entire garden is not yours, you will have to share. Although, don’t worry so much because you will be able to get your own work area and your own patch of land that you can tend to. A few things that you would need to remember is that you will need to bring your own tools like gloves and gardening tools if you find that your local garden does not have enough for everyone to go around. So just keep these handy and you are practically all set for some gardening.
